Hello there! Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm Carrie - a Christian, thirty-something, wife and mother of three who's been homeschooling since 2009. After 4 years in public school, we found that it just wasn't a good fit for our family. After a great deal of prayer, and overcoming a whole lot of nauseating fear that I wouldn't be good enough, we took the leap of faith and brought the kids home. It has been so amazing to see my kids "bloom outside the box" as we say. We have the opportunity to tailor their curriculum to their individual learning styles which has unlocked such a world of wonder in them. Now they are full of questions and so eager to explore the answers. I am so blessed to be able to help them grow their minds as well as their hearts for God.
Well, this was more or less a week off for us. We did complete our Math chapters, but otherwise, it was just a crazy week of busyness.
Our Tuesday consisted of a "Not-Back-To-School" Picnic at the park with a whole bunch of our homeschool friends. Those poor other parents, with their school-aged children off for their first day, brought their toddlers, finally thinking they had the place to themselves! Well, not so much. All our kids did so great and worked hard to make sure everyone was included in playtime!
Wednesday was a fun curriculum sale and Middle-Schoolers meet up. Thursday was an emergency dentist appointment for Miss 5th Grade to repair a filling. Friday was recovery day ;)
So since I don't have much to contribute this week, I thought I'd share a cute something from Natalie Criss that we can all relate to!
We've complete 4 weeks now, so it was really nice to blow off a little steam. I hope everyone had a fantastic week!
Oh my gosh...that video is awesome!!! :) have a good weekend!
